Detector Tubes
Detector tubes, first developed and marketed by Drager in 1937, are used to measure know gas and vapor concetrations with a +/- accuracy of about 10%. Industrial Safety represents the two market leaders in Colormetric Tube sales, Rae Systems and Drager Safety. Samples are drawn through a glass tube by a pump, whether the piston pump by Rae or the Accuro Pump by Drager. The gas then interacts with the reagent inside the tube to cause a discoloration which can be read like a thermometer. Both Rae and Drager Gas Detection Tubes are clear and easy to read.
